Mobile vegetable retail shop
We designed developed and manufactured 25 such mobile retail vegetable shops which goes to various
housing societies to sell vegetables and fruits.
The vehicles were built on a TATA Ace chassis and were made using pipe structure and FRP exterior panels
to make it light weight and has a payload of 1 tonne. The interiors were also made in plastics to
accommodate as many slots as possible for a variety of vegetables and fruits. The front of the vehicle was
used as a cash counter by making the front windscreen folding.
The vehicle was powered by 300AH 12 volt batteries to run various electronic gadgets such as two 21 inch
LCD televisions, music system, POS machine, cash box, printer and other gadgets through a 220v inverter.
It has two exhaust fans at the top to remove excess heat. Adequate storage and extra cash counter was
provided at the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle also had backlit display facilities for advertising.
